MHP Building Contractors is a small local company, not a franchise with a call centre — we work within a comfortable radius of Pembury, so Matt can come out for a proper look, be on site during the job, and come back the week after handover if a snag turns up. These are the towns and villages we cover most; if you're nearby and not listed, just ask.
Pembury
Home. The company is registered here, which means a five-minute drive rather than a scheduling problem.
Tunbridge Wells
Victorian and Edwardian houses where an extension has to be matched rather than added. Our busiest patch after Pembury.
Tonbridge
Kitchens, bathrooms and rear extensions on family houses across the TN9 and TN10 side of town.
Paddock Wood
Post-war and newer estates — garage conversions and garden studios are the common ask here.
Wadhurst
Over the Sussex border, tile-hung and weatherboarded properties where matching the existing finish matters.
Frant
Village properties on the A267 side, often older and often with a cellar worth looking at.
Sevenoaks
Larger extension and conversion projects to the north, a comfortable run for a site visit.
Cranbrook
Weald houses out to the east — extensions, bathrooms and general building maintenance.
Goudhurst
Character village properties where new work has to sit alongside old brick and timber.
Crowborough
The Sussex end of our patch, on the edge of the Ashdown Forest.

Beyond the core patch we take on extensions, conversions and maintenance work in the surrounding villages — Ticehurst and Staplehurst, Southborough and Matfield, Brenchley, Horsmonden and Lamberhurst, Hildenborough and East Peckham. If a job is worth the journey we'll travel for it; if it's too far to run properly, we'll tell you that instead.
