What we do
Seven kinds of building work, one contractor.
House extensions and garden studios, kitchens and bathrooms, garage and cellar conversions, and the everyday building maintenance that stops a small problem becoming a big one. Matt prices each job, runs the site and hands it over himself. Serving Pembury, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge & the surrounding Kent and Sussex villages. Quotes are free and carry no obligation.

01
House Extensions
Extra room that reads as part of the house, not bolted on
Extensions are the biggest thing we take on and the thing most people ring us about first. Matt prices the job, runs the site and hands it back to you, so the groundworks, the structure, the roof, the glazing and the finish are all one person's responsibility.

Garden Studios & Garden Rooms
A proper insulated room at the end of the garden
A garden studio is the cheapest way to add a genuinely usable room to most houses, and the quickest — provided it's built like a building rather than a shed. We do the base, the frame, the insulation, the cladding, the electrics and the finish.

Kitchen Installations
Kitchens fitted by a builder, so the awkward parts get sorted
A kitchen is only a fitting job if nothing has to move. In older Kent houses something usually does — a wall, a waste run, a floor level, a chimney breast. We're a building contractor first, which is why we can say yes to that.

Bathrooms & Shower Rooms
"He made my bathrooms perfect" — a MyBuilder review, April 2024
Bathrooms are the work our reviews name most often. Full refits, walk-in shower rooms, downstairs cloakrooms, and whole new bathrooms created out of a spare bedroom or a landing cupboard — plumbing, tanking, tiling and finish.

Garage Conversions
The cheapest room you'll ever add — it's already built
A garage already has foundations, walls and a roof, which is why converting one is usually the least expensive way to gain a real room. The work is in making it warm, dry and properly part of the house rather than a cold box off the hall.

Basement & Cellar Conversions
Dry out the cellar and you've found a room you already owned
Plenty of older Kent and Sussex houses have a cellar that's written off as damp storage. Tanked, lit and ventilated properly, the same space becomes a utility, a gym, a workshop, a store or a room. We also refurbish basement flats.

Building Maintenance & Repairs
"Matt took on our paint job at such short notice" — MyBuilder, April 2024
Not every job is a project. A lot of what we do is the repair and maintenance work that stops a small problem becoming an extension-sized one — and the short-notice jobs other contractors won't fit in.
