A shaker kitchen in burnt orange, fitted wall to wall
Kent & Sussex

Photograph: our own work
This is the kind of kitchen that only works if the room is right first. The units run in an L around two walls and return under the window, which means every corner, every scribe against the plaster and every worktop joint is on show — there is nowhere for a fitting error to hide.
The colour choice is a brave one and it earns it: deep terracotta shaker doors against a pale blue-grey wall, a stone-effect worktop, brass handles and a brass bridge tap over an undermounted brass sink. Open timber shelves and under-cabinet lighting pick up the same warmth, and the integrated oven, hob and extraction sit flush in the run rather than being worked around.
